Linda Laura OLDHAM Where did she go?

Hi friendly Rootchatters,

Linda Laura OLDHAM was the youngest child of Edward Davis OLDHAM nd Emma HARRIS.  She was born around 1911 and she married George William CUTTING in 1931.

The last I can see of her is the Electrol Roll in 1954 in Sandhurst (Bendigo).

Can anyone find her after that - either another marriage or a death.

Perhaps you need to see the 1931 marriage certificate to see your George Wm's parents.  There appear to be more than one George Wm CUTTING on the Victorian electorals unless of course your couple divorced and George Wm changed occupations and moved to Melbourne.

Yes she was born in Horsham.

George William isn't with her in 1956.

I'm not really interested in George it is Linda I am interested in.

Ted I think it is well worth searching for her husband.  If he remarried, and it if this occurred post 1942 it will make things difficult to find her especially if she remarried as well.  

Do you know if they had any children?

Incidentally the SA George W married and an Elsie in 1913 and his wife is named on the 1941 document linked above.

Also a person's enrolment on the electoral roll at a certain date is no guarantee they were actually at that address on the date of the election which in 1954 was on 29th May.

Thanks Cando, my reason for asking if you had her husbands death was to find out if we should be looking for a second marriage.

Don't want to spend any money at the moment Cando - I spent too much over Christmas and wont get any casual work again until school goes back.

Linda Laura is the youngest sister of OH's 4 x great grandmother and I have found a decendent of George's who would like to know what happened what happened to Linda Laura.

I presume she is related to Elsie because she is not related to LL.

LL is living with a SL (who might still be alive so I wont mention names) in 1954.
