Hi there

Welcome to Rootschat

Did find a Thomas Parkinson who married a Margaret Todd
on 27th February 1777 at Melsonby Yorkshire which is about
2.5 miles from Middleton Tyas.
They had a few children I found
Dinah baptised 8th March 1778 at Middleton Tyas
William              5th October 1779     "              "
Rachel              20th January 1788
George             20th February 1791
Isabel               17th November 1797

All the children baptised at Middleton Tyas. There are a few gaps
in the childrens birth dates so could mean the child inbetween died.
Or was not registered etc.

Think this is Thomas but only a guess
South Cowton, is 2.6 miles from Richmond
2.9 miles from Middleton Tyas
2.2. miles from Melonsby
not far to walk in those days.
Thomas Parkinson christened 14th April 1748 at South Cowton
parents are Thomas and Anne
