I would be very grateful for a lookup in the Scarborough Mercury - or any other Scarborough paper - of August 1918 for any articles referring to the sinking of the SS Eros. She was torpedoed on 17 August 1918.
I am particularly interested to know whether there was some sort of parade through Scarborough of the survivors following the sinking of the ship. I'm not sure how long afterwards this may have happened, but within a few days I would imagine.
Many thanks in anticipation!
