John MacGregor
« on: Monday 16 January 12 22:05 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help with looking up John Lincoln MacGregor born 1883 in Dufftwon, Banffshire,  His parents were Alexander Macgregor and Jane MacDonald..   He worked either with the CPR or another railway company. He sailed to Boston in 1910 and married Maud Hill in 1916 in Vancouver.   She came from Abergavenny, Wales.  I've triedto findo ut what happened to him but alas, no luck.   One family member said that he went to South Africa but I've had no luck searching the records.

Hoping someone out there can fill in the missing details.

Evelyn ::)

Dear Barry and Jorose

I can't tell you how I felt afer reading your replies to my request.  I cried.
I've been trying since 1967 to find out and only put this request on last night.
Now I can wind up my Grandmothers side of the family.  He was the only one that I didn't have any info on.

I am indebted to you both.  Yes, Maude Hill, his wife,  was born in Abergavenny according to their marriage cert.

Deepest thanks.

Evelyn
