Inquest at Newry.- Yesterday Mr. John Francis Small, solicitor, coroner for South Armagh, held an inquest in the Ballybot Courthousem Newry, touching the death of Patrick Carroll, T_rev_crum, near Forkhill, which took place under sad circumstances, on the 31st ult. Deceased, who was about seventy-five years of age, came to Newry on the day in question, and about two o'clock he went to a house in Lower North Street to have dinner. A piece of meat stuck in his throat, and before it could be taken out he had expired. Dr. S.E. Martin deposed that when he saw the man he was dead, death resulting in suffocation. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
