Thanks for your interest Jorose, my research so far mirrors yours.
I've also looked at the 1911 census which confirms the family members you have found living at 18 Cross Street:
Edwin Eve, his wife Amy Amelia Eve, son Edwin Alfred Eve and daughter Ada Amelia Harriet Eve.
I'm wondering who gave Ada's details at the time of her death as they don't seem very accurate. My Grandmother spoke with Edwin within days of the tragedy and he told her details of what had happened that day - so I know that he survived the blast. For many years my mother has told me about the incident but we only knew that the survivor was called Edwin. The release of London Electoral registers gave me the surname of Eve and then led me to Ada's casualty details. My Great Grandmother, Kate Edden, also appears on the CWGC site.
I also looked up the other names from the electoral roll at no.18 in 1939 on the CWGC but it appears Ada and Kate were the only casualties at the house. The odd thing is I can't find Ada's death in the FreeBMD registers nor on The Genealogist website where you can view the original registers. There is an Ada Eve who died in Q3 of 1940 registered at Woolwich but she was aged 73...... Just found her - recorded as Ada Eave, Q3 Islington aged 52.
My Edden family had lived at 18 Cross Street since at least 1913, as had the Eves since at least 1911 - the two families must have known each other very well. I'd love to get in contact with any descendants of the Eves and share the details we know about 16.09.1940.
