Elias Newman
« on: Thursday 19 January 12 19:57 GMT (UK) »
I have hit a brick wall, any help would be appreciated. I am unable to find the parents of Elias Newman B abt 1781 in Ashburnham.

Elias Newman was born abt1780 in Ashburnham, Sussex, England.  He married Frances Riglesford on 22 Nov 1813 in Mountfield, Sussex, England.  He lived in Hellingly, Sussex, England in 1841.  His address was in Dicker, Brick Kilns, Hellingly in 1841.  He was employed as a Agricultural Labourer between 1841–1861 in Hellingly, Sussex.  His address was Road from Horsebridge to Lewes in 1861.  He died in Oct 1864 in Hailsham, Sussex, England.

Any pointers would be great.

Thanks

Peter Newman

Hello Peter

The SFHG have not transcribed the years 1711 to 1785 for Ashburnham.

I looked on The East Sussex Record Office Web Site. The same years have`nt been Transcribed with them either but are on Microfilm or Fiche.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards
