Dodgson - Brandsby COMPLETED WITH THANKS
« on: Friday 20 January 12 15:36 GMT (UK) »
Hi:  I'm wondering whether anyone has access to the parish registers (rather than the BTs) for Brandsby, and would be kind enough to confirm the details of some burials?  Or perhaps someone is going to the Borthwick  ;) As Brandsby was a "Dade" parish at the time, I am hoping for a little more information than usual  ;D  NBI only gives brief details - but then, of course, it is only an Index!

Thomas Dodgson - 11 July 1791
Hannah Dodgson - 17 June 1794
Hannah Dodgson - 1 July 1796 - I believe she was 16 years old

I'm particularly interested in the burial of Hannah Dodgson in 1794 - I believe she is the wife of Benjamin Dodgson, and I would dearly love to know if there is an age quoted so that I can confirm that I have the correct Hannah Archbell (they married at Tadcaster in December 1773 and the marriage licence gives Hannah's age as 30).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have 3 day warm slot in Yorkshire I'm visiting Borthwick !.  Please   ;D ;D ;D do supply correct info! as its save wasting time.

Please review your info when refering to dade parish's as out of dade info will be most likely same as Find my past Burials..NBI

Note dade dates for Brandsby North Yorkshire Register of Burials 1575-1903. Note this register uses the Dade registration scheme for the years 1809-1812.

I am going there this week.

p.s ;)
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Many thanks, as usual!!   :-* :-*  And, there has to be at least one parish that didn't follow Dade for the whole time - and be the one I needed.  However, the information you sent me was sufficient to tie them all together.  Hannah being wife, Hannah being daughter,  and Thomas being the son of Benjamin Dodgson, farmer.
