Denner, Bellamy, Warren Milton Abbott
« on: Saturday 21 January 12 09:24 GMT (UK) »
Not good at this so needing some confirmation.
I believe that Joseph and jane Denner were my great, great, great, great grandparents. The surname according to records is sometimes spelt as 'Dinner'. I believe that they were descendants of the Warren, Bellamy and Denner families according to records.

I would love to have this confirmed also what relationship they had with the Egbeer family I think one was a first marriage but became a widow and she remarried. I would love to contact anyone researching the same families or able to let me know more about their lives.

Thanks

Gill

Hiya Gill
https://familysearch.org/
Joseph Denner
Milton Abbott
 - baptism shows  but no marriage , so it looks like he married somewhere else .
Denner also shows Dennard on Familysearch - so that`s another variation .
the only connection I can find for Egbeer is
30th sep 1738 Catharine Egbere marries Emmanuel Warren in Milton Abbott

dear Allan

Thanks for the other spelling...I think catherine may have been a Walkey before so researching that as she could have been married twice.
Will now look if I can find anyone with the other spelling. Don't suppose you know anything about Joan Stroot or Strouitt that married Emmanuel warren Snr
Thanks

Gill

7th June 1701 at Milton Abbott
Emmanuel WERREN to Jone Stroot

Can`t find her baptism in Devon- and there`s no baptism in Devon for Emmanuel b 1660-1685.....so - where were they from ...or...just after the Civil War ???...maybe the records were "mislaid"

Your data is all there but slight spelling variations....that`s IF ? this is your Catharine ...tell me if this looks to be yours

4th March 1734 Oliver Egbeer married Catharine WELKEY (not Walkey )
30th sep 1738 Catharine Egbere married Emmanuel Warren
both in Milton Abbott
so - we need a death for Oliver Egbeer 1834-1838, but I can`t find one ???

Hi,

Joseph's marriage is at FindMyPast, Jane's name is transcribed as BETTAMEY but the image (especially her signature) looks like BELLAMY,

11 Apr 1810  Milton Abbot
Joseph DINNER    bachelor
Jane BETTAMEY    spinster
both of this parish
X  Mark of Joseph DINNER
Jen?  ??  Bellamy
In the presence of:  Richd DINNER?,   William OLIVER

William OLIVER seems to have witnessed quite a few marriages so he could have been a curate etc.

Regards,
Daisy

This looks like Jane's baptism, she was a twin :)

02 Feb 1747
Joseph and Jane  twin-children of Emanuel & Elizabeth? C?atarine (written above) WARREN

Other children matching this couple,

Sarah WARREN
01 Nov 1739

Emanuel WARREN
05 May 1742

Elisabeth WARREN
13 Jul 1745

Which fits nicely with the Emanuel WARREN/Catherine EGBERE marriage found by allan.

This could be Oliver EGBEER's burial,

11 Jul 1737
Milton Abbot
Oliver EGBER
