1871 lookup London - Islington/Clerkenwell

Could I have a lookup please for an Edward Wood, sometimes shown as Edward Wood Nolson. In 1871 he was possibly unmarried, aged about 28 (born 1843).
Possobly living in Islington/ Clerkenwell or thereabouts.

That looks like him as he married in 1874 and is listed as grocer in 1881 census. Can you tell me who he was lodging with and were there any other people at the residence.

The two women are housekeepers

Ellen is married, rest unmarried.

Appear to be the only people at number 11.

Thank you for that extra information. Why I asked was because I am looking for his younger sister who so far has eluded the census taker. She was Catherine Mary Jane Nolson but married William Gallington in Dec 1868 and had a son Joseph in Jun qtr 1870. I have found William living at home with his parents easy enough but says he is unmarried. I thought Catherine who later appears as Mary in 1881 census may have been living with brother Edward. I have checked all the other brothers too and she is not with them.

Oh, I see the problem.  Do you have an address from the birth cert of young Joseph?
I guess you've checked to see if mother and child are with her parents?

I have yet to send for the birth certificate for young Joseph. I have checked with other relatives ie her other two brothers. Her father is dead but she could be with her mother. her name is Jane Nolson born 1817, Brighton and possibly living in Clerkenwell, London. There is another Jane Nolson but she is the gt grandmother and she lives in Helperby, York born 1799 (shown in the 1881 census age 82).  If you are able, perhaps you could check the two Janes. Otherwise I will have to wait until I get the birth certificate and try on the address.
