Elias ROWE and Thomas MARSHFIELD completed

  I am looking for details of elias rowe/wife and siblings of james rowe who was born in east devon in 1796, also any information on a thomas marshfield/ wife and siblings of elizabeth marshfield born I believe in swanage dorset in approx 1828.

Can you please clarify this a bit? Who was born in 1796 - Elias or James? Similarly was it Elizabeth MARSHFIELD born ca 1828 or Thomas?

sorry james rowe was born in 1796 and elizabeth marshfield was born approx 1828, james and elizabeth got married to each other in 1853 in alverstoke it was james second marriage.I hope this is a bit clearer.

In 1861 he is shown as 'formerly a carpenter'.

Trying to find the parents and any siblings of James Rowe, James Rowe was born in East Devon in 1796,James Rowe's fathers name was Elias Rowe.
James Rowe was married twice his first wife I do not know of but his second wife was Elizabeth Marshfield my greatgrandmother they got married in Alverstoke 1853.any information concerning James family would appreciated.

Just to clarify what is known of James

I see there is an extracted entry for the marriage on the IGI

James ROWE = Elizabeth MARSHFIELD 3 Jun 1853 Alverstoke Hampshire.  (Jun 1/4 2b 698) Do you have this marriage cert listing his father as Elias? If so can you please provide the full information from that certificate.  Have had no luck with Elias. Some possible births in Plymouth on the IGI but none with a father Elias.

James ROWE died Dec 1/4 1876 Portsea 2b 270. He was aged 81

So we have him born in Plymouth or Whitechurch 1794-1796

Seems to be a change of occupations between 1851 and 1861

No luck with a birth for James Ward ROWE

There is a James ROWE a shoe maker in Portsea in 1841 but age seems way out if its him (aged 35) residing with Elizabeth aged 55. (Too old to have had a child in 1847)

I think you mean born ca 1794-1796 :-)
An Elias ROWE married at Tavistock (next parish to Whitchurch) 20 June 1775 to a Joan BURLEY.

There is a birth registration for a James WARD in Portsea in both 1846 and 1847 - possibility?

thankyou for doing some searching for me the information that you have provided is correct it ties up with what I already have Jessie Rowe was my grandmother, but I am still trying to find any siblings that my two greatgrandparents may have had I just do not know how to go about it.
