I think Kelson or Thelson or but cant find anything on 1837online that matches anything. But may have married before 1837. But this is from what i have as their first child in 1840.

I have just been and had another look on 1837online and found it!!! I must be blind

SOPHIA KELSON SEPT 1839 BRISTOL 11 2200

Then checked Edward Clark and found a match, Thank you all anyway.

Can you see if you can read the address on it though.

Bedminster what??

Bedminster is a suburb of Bristol on the South side of the river Avon and would have been in the county of Somerset in 1840.  Since Bedminster is just south of the river, Causway sounds very plausible although I can't find it on any old maps.
