i am wondering if anyone is able to look up the marriage of edward sands and marion kate malley/o'malley on august 27, 1866 at the parish of st. giles, camberwell, surrey, England.

i would be interested to know what information is about this marriage most specifically her parents names and birthdate/place.  but any info would be appreciated

Hi

Birthplaces are not recorded on English marriage certificates just the place of residency for the previous three weeks.
Both were of Bath Road (not uncommon one partner moving to so the reading of the banns did not have to be paid in two churches only the parish church both resided in). Marion Kate was a minor. She gave her father's name as Charles Malley and his occupation as gentleman, a term used to describe someone who did not have to work for a living (no matter how small their income might be they could survive on it or indeed were better placed financially). There was a tendency for some people to elevate their father's status to gentleman on their marriage. Both witnesses were from the Sands family.

On the 1871 census Marion gave her birthplace as Dublin and her age as 25.

Regards

Valda
