Thomas Morgan
« on: Saturday 11 February 12 16:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I'm looking for any information re birth, marriage for Thomas. I have found him in census returns. He was born about 1790 Laleston, Bridgend. I think he might have married a Mary Thomas and was an agricultural labourer.

Thank you for your time,
Lemming

Thanks Cardiff - no this isn't the right one. He was living with his wife Mary and children Jennet, John and Evan in 1841 piece 1422 book 10 folio 8 p7. It's very possible that the family you found could be connected though - the names are very similar - maybe brother to the Evan who owned the farm - but that wouldn't explain the Thomas living at the farm - more likely cousin?

Laleston parish baptisms have been transcribed for FreeReg, but no Thomas around 1790, nearest is a Thomas in 1784.

Thanks Osprey - I think I've found him on the FreeReg site - baptised 1788 Tabernacle Congregational, abode Newcastle, parents Thomas and Jennet.

Hi…I just came across this message and thought I would let you know that I have a Gt Gt Grandfather Thomas Morgan who was married to Jennet in Newcastle/Laleston in 1821. Do you have any more info about him?
