I think your best bet is at  class RG12, piece 4432, folio 65, page 36

This is in Garthgynid - an older name for Bedlinog.

The family is at 8 Mount PLeasant

David Williams, 42, colliery engine driver  b Cwmbychan, Glam
Ellen WIlliams, 30 b Merthyr
David Jno Williams, 4 b Gelligaer
Levi Tho Williams, 2 b Gelligaer

Bit of a long shot/unusual

1901 - Class RG13, piece 5021. folio 135, Page 6

David John Williams 14 - coal hewer b Cwmfelin (again - lower part of Bedlinog)

Living with Samuel Williams, 48 b Chester, and Martha, 60, b Newport Pembs - David is described as their grandson

Address is 5 Station terrace - appears to be in Brithir/Deri area

have looked around and can't work out how Samuel and Martha might be related to him
