Hi,

Can anyone tell me where Glassa is please? 

The referrence I have is 'Abercrombie of Glassa'  I think it's in Banff!

Glassaugh (I've also seen it as Glasshaugh) which is in the parish of Fordyce, south west of Portsoy, Banffshire.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Yes. Very sad to see architectural gems just falling into disrepair. But there are plenty of them out there.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

He had 15 kids so I imagine the historic value of the building was of little consequence to him. Feeding that lot probably was!
