Francis White marriage at Gt. Gaddesdon
« on: Sunday 19 February 12 23:35 GMT (UK) »

Does anyone have the PR's for Great Gaddesdon please.

Looking for details of a marriage between Francis White and Demaris Varney  on 1st May 1703. I know there wouldn't be much in the way of details, but names of fathers and witnesses would be helpful.
Also any children born to this couple.

Many thanks.

Ok, point taken, would still like to know if Francis White and Demaris Varney came from Gt. Gaddesdon, which would be shown in the PR's

Don't get your hopes up - the vast majority of marriage entries for that period just show OTP - Of This Parish

However - that does not necessarily mean they were both born in that parish - just that they satisfied the short residential qualifying time required to enable them to marry there (approx 3wks)

It could be useful if Demaris said she was from Edlesborough, then I would be sure I had the correct person.
