Hi Joe,
Thomas Edwards was my Grandfather, but as he had lost his left leg in the Armagh Railway accident he could not join the army, but his bothers David and George did join and both saw action in the WW1. I do have a picture of all of the brothers with both David and George in Army uniform. I know George learnt his engineering skills in the army and used them to earn a living repairing engines in his Garage on the Mall till his death in 1967.
There are many stories i could recite about the Edwards family, however I really don't know much more about their army careers than what I have listed above.
George's daughter is still alive and possibly could recall more of his army career if it helps. David never had any children.

Regards Iain.

Sorry Joe, I didn't answer all your questions.
James Edwards died 3rd Sept 1951 and is buried in Santa Barbara CA cemetery.
David Edwards died 26th Dec 1954 and is buried in St Marks Graveyard Armagh.

Hope this helps.
Iain

hi Iain and others,
My great grandmother was Edith Edwards. She went to Canada in 1912 and I am researching the Edwards family tree….. would love to collaborate if possible. I have a family picture of some of the Edwards in front of Woodford Hall.
