Mrs J.B. Perrett played in some lawn tennis tournaments circa 1911-27. Like a lot of well-to-do Englishwomen, she liked the French Riviera tournaments, which were mainly held early in the year. She had some success in the tournaments in question, but was never really a world-beater.

She was always referred to as "Mrs J.B. Perrett", so it's not clear whether she played lawn tennis under her maiden name. I'm just looking for some basic biographical information on her, e.g. first name, maiden name and place of birth.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe J.B. were her husband's initials?

I can remember my mum getting mail addressed to Mrs K.A. Garrad - she was a Joyce! ::)

She seems to have been active on the lawn tennis circuit a bit earlier than thought, if she was the same Mrs Perrett who played at Shanklin in 1907 and Wimbledon in 1908.

^^^ Thanks to avm28, nanny jan and KGarrad for the above replies. I've e-mailed the P*rr*tt website.

I think it's very likely that "J.B." were the initials of the player in question's husband.
