Heywood: Here's another where is he? This fellow was b. in 1869 and is in the Southampton census 1881 as a student. He disappears thereafter.
An uncle is Henry Wickens, b. 1863 in Glostershire and in the Basingstoke 1871 census. He disappears, too.
The top one is the brother of the "Eno" Wickens that you found in 1891 and the other is his uncle.
By the way, maybe you figured it out. "Eno" is "E" with "r" running into "i" and "o" as a sloppy "c." Hence, "Eric."
