William Horace Wickens/Heywood
« on: Wednesday 29 February 12 00:03 GMT (UK) »
Heywood: Here's another where is he? This fellow was b. in 1869 and is in the Southampton census 1881 as a student. He disappears thereafter.
An uncle is Henry Wickens, b. 1863 in Glostershire and in the Basingstoke 1871 census. He disappears, too.
The top one is the brother of the "Eno" Wickens that you found in 1891 and the other is his uncle.
By the way, maybe you figured it out. "Eno" is "E" with "r" running into "i" and "o" as a sloppy "c." Hence, "Eric."

I think Heywood must have helped on a previous thread so the message was for her.

Thank you both, Isobelruss and Millepede.
Yes, Heywood did help out once. I just answered what you read. My only source of information here is at the area Mormon Chruch Lib. and putting in the two names got me nowhere. I am curious how you could find them.
William Horace is the [b.1869 Kingston ]brother of my grandfather. I would love to find a census 1891-1911 on him to see what he did in life. Ancestors.com is blank
Henry is another curiousity of mine. He was born 1863 in Gloustershire unlike his 10 siblings in Aldermaston. Why?
I find computers as damnable as wonderful. A quarter century ago I spent a couple of summer weeks in England. I would simply leaf thru a local record book and find a name. Ancestors gives me... bla bla bla. So, I appreciate your help.
