Jane Compton and family came from Tarrant Monckton Dorset to the Isle of Wight year unkown Robert5 Compton the father birth unknown but research and written book suggest he may have come from the I.O.W. can find no proof of that either.
Am losing a little faith in my Hugh Murry being the right chap but have not lost it completly yet.
Hugh is not he most common name around but I will try looking elsewhere probably Tarrant Monckton and see if any appear there.
