Hi
Is it possible to find civilian deaths from WW2,  I have a family of Collingwoods
that 'died in the bombing of Manchaster WW2" from oral history and letters.

Thomas Collingwood and wife Emily, and 2 daughters Barbara and Maude.
Maude born abt 1912.  Barbara was older.

I have there address in 1922 as 77 Roseberry St Moss Side Manchester.

Emily Collingwood was a cousin somehow to Margaret Emily Capstick (nana).  As they addressed each other that way in letters.

Thank you

Tom Purslow Collingwood married Barbara Emily Cadstick/Captstick at St. Chads, Rochdale in 1903.  So I think that must be your Capstick connection to your nana.  You should be able to find them in the 1911 census with a daughter Barbara L Collingwood aged 6.  There is also a birth of a Beryl M Collingwood in 1912 Rochdale with the mothers maiden name of Capstick - possible that the M stands for Maude?.    There is also  a death for a Barbara Lilian Collingwood in Manchester 1994 born 6th June, 1904 if she never married.
