Lant family - Cuckney / Langwith

Joseph Lant (b.1822) Farnsfield Notts. married Elizabeth Salmon 20 Sep. 1841 in Parish Church of Norton Cuckney. In 1844 he was a cotton spinner at Langwith Mill. Thereafter the family moved to Leicester and I have traced their descendants.

I am trying to trace Joseph Lant's forebears. His father was William Lant, possibly a William Lant born 1791 in Cuckney. His Mother's name may be Sarah.

My connection is Joseph Lant to James Edwin Lant  to Sophia Susannah Lant
 Sophia Susannah Lant was my grandmother.

That would be Sophia Susannah Smith?
Had 11 children?
From what I have found Josephs parents were William Lant (1786 to 1850) and Elizabeth Porter (1784 to 1829).

James Edwin LANT married Sophia Susannah SMITH  28 Dec. 1865. My grandmother was their youngest daughter, Sophia Susannah LANT. Yes, they had 11 children, though not all reached adulthood.

According to my research, Joseph LANT married Elizabeth SALMON.

I know this is an old thread, but hoping there might be some extra info found since.

Has anyone found any information on the parents of William Lant b.1786, father to Joseph Lant? Cuckney/Worksop/Langwith area.

Any help would be appreciated.
