Jane A Stubbs b 1856

Trying to find a Jane A Stubbs on the 1861 census.   She appears with her family on the 1871 census living at Stricklandgate Yard, St. Thomas, Kendal.  The head of the family is her father James Stubbs b 1838 Westmorland.
Any help appreciated, thank  you.

How old was she said to be in 1871 census?  and where was she said to be born?

She was 15 and the birth is registered as Westmorland.  Hope this helps.

Have you found her parents in 1861 census?

 Or is it the whole family you ae looking for in 1861?  It's not quiteclear in your original post

On the 1861 census I believe her parents are John and Elizabeth Stubbs of COpper Lane, Kirkland, Kendal.  James B 1838, Shoemaker, Kendal, Elizabeth (Wife) b 1837 Longsleddale, Margaret (Daughter) b 1860, Kendal.    Hope this helps, sorry for not providing this information earlier.

If she was 15 in 1871 she must have been born 1856 ish.

Why not search freebmd for such a birth 1855/6/7 in a Westmoreland Reg district?

It seems that this is the parents' marriage:
June Q 1859 Kendal vol 10b pg 852 James Stubbs and Elizabeth Allinson (FreeBMD).

Therefore, as it looks as though Jane could be Elizabeth's illegitimate child from before her marriage to James, was Jane orignally Jane Allinson?  There is a birth for Jane Allinson in the Mar Q 1856 Kendal vol 10b pg 563. 

Unfortunately, I can't find Jane Allinson in 1861 either.

On the basis that her name was likely Allinson in 1861, not Stubbs, could this be her, with her maternal grandmother?
