No need to apologise  ;)

It looks as though both boys births were registered at the right time but they were not christened until later.  I can't see the Charles Levett occ Tailor but I think I am trying too hard and I've been on here too long today.   ;D   I can't even see his marriage to Mary Ann Rice.

Freebmd don't appear to have the right images for Harrys birth registration so I couldn't check that to see whether it actually says Levett on the index.

Do you think ordering a birth Cert for Charley b 1869 would give me some more information?

On the censuses Caroline, Matilda and Clementina make no secret of the fact they are all unmarried so the birth certificate may not give any other information. On the other hand if you don't buy it you will never know :)

Could I ask where you are getting the Christening records from?  I can only find the Birth Index for Charley E Levett and the image is incorrect on Ancestry.

The Charles Henry Levett - occupation Tailor, (that I referred to previously as the possible father of Harry), was born  abt 1847 in Ivanhoe (Ivinghoe?), Buckinghamshire.  In the 1871 Census he is listed as Charles age 24 still living with his parents and unmarried.  His first child with his wife is born in abt 1878.

Considering the Levett sisters were Dressmakers and he was a Tailor - I think they could have had some connection. ;) ;)

In 1851 Charles Henry, parents and siblings are in Bucks, in 1871 in Cambridge. His mother Mary Ann was born in Cambridge although his father Joseph was born in Bury St Edmonds Suffolk.  Could  Mary Ann be the link?

Added.  Their first four children were also born in cambridgeshire between 1837 and 1844

I had access to the baptisms on Parish register transcript, they are however available on FindMyPast.

The birth registrations are available on Camdex http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/community/bmd/certificate/Camdex/

Thanks everyone for your help...

I think I will try to order a few certificates to fill in the blanks...

I would still like to leave this open though if anyone has anymore info on Harry...

I must say for my first post, I am impressed with the response and the enthusiasm of you all.   Thanks again!
