Grealish
« on: Wednesday 14 March 12 20:14 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I have a distant relation called Mary Grealish who died tragically in Gillstown, Roscommon in 1931. I have her death cert but am wondering has anyone come across her headstone on their travels in the area.

I have tried the usual internment sites with no luck.

Thanks,

Tara

I can't directly help but in case you haven't seen them there are two newspaper articles in the Irish Independent about the fire.
Without a subscription they cannot be read on line but can be found in Pearse Street Library - you may be lucky with details of her funeral/burial0

The website was working earlier but is not responding correctly now
www.irishnewsarchive.com is the home page
It is not the most user friendly site but down the right hand side there is a Yellow "Search Now" button that allows you to search free
The results I got were in October 1931 looking for Grealish and Gillstown in all of 1931

I came across this post and figured I'd say hello. I actually knew Mary Small Grealish's son, James Joseph Grealish, quite well. He was my grandmother's brother in-law.A wonderful man . If you have that newspaper article about her death I'l like to see it.
