Adam's Family
« on: Thursday 15 March 12 11:44 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

I am trying to find the Parents of a William Adams who according to the 1891 Census was born at  Bedwelty Monmouthshire in 1819.

On the Census it Say's he was  Farmer and lived Maesyson Farm, Abernantyfelyn,Bedwelty,Manmoel, Monmouthshire.

Any help to get me back to the next generation would be great.
Thank You in Advance,

looks like he may have married twice. Do you have a marriage cert for him? It would give his father's name & occupation

who was his first wife? Or do you have the census refs for him in earlier years? I can see him in 1881, but I'm not sure about other years.

Hi

Yes his first Marriage was to a Ruth Lewis in 1853 at Llanelly Parish Church Gilwern, They had six children.

William is single on the 1841  census. 1851 and 1861 census can find him nowhere.1871 census have found the Family at Bedwellty, and on the 1881 census he is a widower. On the 1891 census he is living with Rachel still at Bedwellty and a farmer.

That is as far as I can go back as I cannot find William's Birth which should be around 1819 and 1822.
