I have scatty bits of imformation
1, that it was drained and used to store ammunition during 2nd world war

2, that just after the war local lads used to make grappling irons and pull items out, one bloke who I spoke to got a machine gun

3, in the 1960s

it was completely drained to remove anything remaining .
this was when I hope some photo's were taken,
