Burial site
« on: Tuesday 20 March 12 17:40 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I am looking for the burial site of Job Barrett who died in May 1877 in Pontypool aged 13. His parents were Charles & Rosanna Barrett.  At the time of his death he was living in Crane Street Pontypool. The family originated from Somerset.

I would be most grateful for any help.

Hi Jevons
Welcome to Roots Chat.

You might be better off asking for help by posting on the Wales board rather than on this one. Folks who have interest / documents for Pontypool may well see your post and try and help. This board tends toward issues and info concerning graves, headstones and such like as opposed to specific family graves. You may well get help on here there are some very helpful folks about but I would try Pontypool / Wales

Moderator Comment: Moved to Monmouthshire board :)

Jevons

Your post has been moved to the better place by a moderator who I suspected may be along and do what I suggested that avoids duplicate post/threads so now I hope you get a result

his burial is noted in the Trevethin parish records  - transcription here

This doesn't mean that there is a gravestone, though.

Hi,

Thank you so much for all your help.  Job Barrett was my Grandmothers brother and I have only recently found that he died in Wales.  It had been understood that the family moved from Somerset directly into Staffordshire.

Thank you once Again
