Help Finding Record Please

I have a photo post card of my g uncle Sergt Andrew Kerr
B Coy 3rd H L I  but I have searched can find no records of him at all please can someone help me find him Ive got his brothers records but nothing at all on Andrew

A lot of records were lost (burnt)and it could be that yours is one if them.My father in laws record cannot be found,even at the National Archives.

Andrew was born 1875 in Lanark lived lived in Bothwell Haugh at time of war
on the post card his address was Kilpatrick School Leith if that helps

Possible MEDAL INDEX CARD he looks to have post 1918 service looking at his number?
If he served after 1922 then MOD will have his record still
Edit: just looked at card on Ancestry I think the 3 on his las service number denotes 3rd Batt as theres a slight gap before the rest of number 23*****
So maybe his record did get burned.

I dont know how you found him Ive spent a fortune looking for his records how do you know he was in france 1915?

Yes he went to the Scottish Rifles as well as HLI maybe he was wounded? or manpower demanded....His card has a date of entry to the war on as May 1915.

Just be aware its not 100% confirmed that its your man BUT if he served overseas He should have a medal card and the profile fits

The last number is strange I cant find any similar yet with HLI ranks but I can find them with Territorial Battalions of the Scottish Rifles!
