Christopher LYNCH aged 13 died in a wheat store in Leixlip , on 28th August 1883, a brief summary of the inquest is recorded in the Kildare Observer of Sep 1 1883.
Can anyone tell me where I may be able to obtain more information, and hopefully a record of the inquest.

The National Library in Dublin holds copies of many newspapers, many microfilmed, including the Kildare Observer. The have editions of this from April 1879 right up to 1935.

Re Christopher Lynch. I will be in Dublin in a couple of weeks and will see what I can find out at the National Library if you want.

A quick thankyou, and to clarify that the Kildare Observer article from Sept 1 1883 has been viewed, as it is online. Christopher sadly died after falling through a shute into a grain store and suffocated, the verdict of the coroner was no blame to any person.
I am advised that very few legal douments such as this have survived.
His death entry has not been identified in online indexes of Irish BMDs via Irishroots.
I suspect he is the son of James LYNCH and Jane nee HEAVEY , born 11-12-1870 in Lucan, the family lived in Leixlip , certainly from 1880.
A separate posting exists for this family, with the research ongoing, I have yet to find their marriage in Kildare/Meath/Dublin C 1868/9.
The LEIXLIP history site has been  a marvelous recent find, and includes an 1850 - 1967 who lived in Leixlip summary, where I have discovered some tantalising clues to James LYNCH's  b circa 1839 family, it was from this site that I found the link to the searchable newspaper archive.

....

As far as I know most of the records for Co. Kildare on RootsIreland are parish rather than civil records - so would not include very many deaths.

If he died in Leixslip then the likely registration district would be Celbridge - but the only death Index records for a Christopher Lynch I see in 1883 on the BMD Index  is age 1..

see : Christopher Lynch deaths - 1883
