Unfortunately the Affidavits for the Bonds held by the Record Office
only go up to 1900….

So.. that just leaves :~

Which I believe they are either Register Office or Nonconformist events
So you’ll have to order them from the G.R.O.

That's excellent stuff - thank you so much for helping me out  :)
I dont want to appear cheeky but not being in the Leicester area (I live in Stockport) how are you for checking out baptisms and burials for some of these relations and a few others plus how far are the records you can access take you upto on marriages?
Do you want me to PM you a list of the "suspects" ?
Can you give me a range of what years you can search upto for baptisms, marriages, burials?
Fortunately within reason its only one branch that are/were based in Leciester!  :D
Please let me know if you can assist further regarding the above and I'll get a list together of everything I'm looking for still

ps Incidentally your transcription mentioned that William Tallis (Sidney's father) was deceased at the time of his marriage. He was alive though not dying until 1948 and he is listed on the 1911 census at the King George Pub on Wharf St. Bit wierd??!  :-\
