Armstrong-Shaw marriage
« on: Tuesday 03 April 12 15:43 BST (UK) »
Hello All,
I'm looking for confirmation of a marriage between William J Armstrong b1856 & Maggie Shaw in 1896 (+/- 1year). I gather they were from Co Monaghan.
Cheers,
Bob

The Irish civil registration index is online (free)- search for bride and groom separately then cross-reference results for match- note: place listed will be the registration district.

Thanks Aghadowey,
I've found a marriage between William John Armstrong & Margaret Shaw in 1896 in Monaghan. The ref also shows a digital number & image number. Does this mean online access is available?
Cheers,
Bob

No, it's only the index that's online. The digital number & image number are for LDS records only. See here for details on marriage certificates with links on how to order-
