Passenger Lists to Isle of MAN
« on: Tuesday 03 April 12 21:39 BST (UK) »
Can anyone tell me if there is such a  thing as a passenger list either from Liverpool or Greenock to the Isle of Man between 1911 and 1935??
My Great Uncle was married in West Derby Liverpool and moved to the IOM but I don't know when.  He could also have sailed form Greenock, as he was home in Scotland about 1935.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Evelyn :)

Sorry! No such thing!
Passenger lists were only maintained for Trans-Atlantic and other long-haul shipping routes.

In any case, with the thousands of holiday-makers travelling to the Isle of Man each year, it would have been an almost impossible task! ;D

Hi

There was free passage between England, Scotland and the IOM so no passenger lists

Liverpool to the IOM would only take a day at the most and the same for Scotland to the IOM
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
