13.12.00 'J W, A B, late of Pembroke College, Oxford, respectfully acquaints the parents, guardians etc. of young gentlemen under his charge, that the Christmas vacation will commence the 20th inst. and expire January 11th ensuing".
3.11.01 Permission to Remain granted to J W from England.
22.1.02 J W 'did in January 1801 purchase a house & premises no 24 Berg St of Miss Tin Birgin (sic), now Mr La Harpe, for the sum of 25 000 guilders remaining on interest and 3 000 guilders ready money'; he appeals against a decision to charge him double transfer duty. Granted by Dundas. Bought 24 Berg from J C de la Harpe (formerly owned by Anna. Cath. Elis. Ten Bergen) (Transfer of Ownership 26.2.02) & sold it to J Muller (Transfer of Ownership 11.10.04).
