Keynsham is one of those strange Registration Districts that spans more than one county!

The town of Keynsham is in Somerset, BUT Oldland (and Oldland Common) is in Gloucestershire!
They are just 2.5 miles apart.

Keynsham RD also included the Gloucestershire towns of Kingswood, Longwell Green,  Hanham, Bitton, etc.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Thank you so much for replying to my request...very complicated....no wonder the birthplaces of the children differ from one Census to another....we have done a fair bit of driving in  the UK...none in this area though..reckon this would even have confused the Tom-Tom....thank you Janet
