Norman was born in Dover 28 September in the 1930's.

I can find a birth reg for him (mother's maiden name Woods) and apossible marriage reg -but no death reg

Yes, have death certificate for him.  He died in Leigh, Lancs.  His wife is still alive but she is unable to tell us anything about Normans childhood, if he had any siblings, aunt, uncles etc.

if you have birth cert that will give parents names -then we can work from that

Marriage cert should give father's name and occupation

Sometimes witnesses turn out to be family too

Hopefully with that information we can work back for you
