Harry L Wren
« on: Sunday 15 April 12 23:42 BST (UK) »
Hi. I am currently looking up for Doris Emily Marriot history.

I have got her marriage to Raymond Purcell, and her children's name's and dates, but recently found out that she remarried a Wren. Having looked up Wren and Purcell marriage i saw that it was a Harry L Wren she married in Daventry, Northamptonshire, England.

I was wondering if someone could send me the date's (years) that she remarried, and the date that she died and born. She was born in Derbyshire in 1908 and died in Birmingham in 1985.

After this, would someone be kind enough to see if they can find any trace on Harry L Wren as i have NO dates, deaths, children, marriages, parents, brothers or sisters.

I Would be very very greatful for this information.

Kindest Regards
Andrew Purcell

The index's will only show the quarter and year.

What year was the marriage to Raymond Purcell and when was their last child born, that would help to narrow down the re marriage date.

Doris Emily Marriott Dec. q 1908 Derby 7b- 614

Doris Emily Wren birth date 7th November 1908  reg. February 1985 age at death 76  Birmingham 32 - 108

Thanks for your quick reply.

Well the last child was born in 1949 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, but then a tragedy struck upon the family 1 year later, when Raymond Temple-Purcell died.

She then died herself in 1985, so the marriage between Doris Emily Purcell (Marriott) to Harry L Wren would have been between 1951-1985 in Daventry, Northamptonshire, England

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

This is very helpful for me! Is there anyway that i would be able to find his parents, death, birth, brothers or sisters without buying a marriage certificate?

I would be very greatful if you could try for me.

Kind Regards
Andrew Purcell

That would depend entirely on when Harry was born, if it was after 1911 we cannot trace on any census', without that finding his birth record its harder as we dont know where he was born either. :(

I see Doris was 64  she  re married.

Another difficulty is Harry can be either Harold or Henry .

I have found a Henry George Wren born Dec q  1908 in Daventry. 3b- 89
born the same year as Doris, and in the same place as their marriage  so looks promising

Isn't he supposed to be Harry L Wren?

I doubt that anyone has Daventry parish records for a marriage that recently(1972) but you might just be lucky enough to find someone that does  ;)

There is a death of a Harry Leonard Wren with a DOB of 4 Jun 1918 in Derby in Feb 1991.

It would mean that Doris married someone 10 years younger  :o

Harry could be Harold or Henry. It will be very hard to find out what happened or even a birth date or death date without there marriage certificate i think.
Because of this i have sent a email to my auntie and hopfully she would be able to answer any mysterys that i have regard Harry L Wren .

I will make sure that i get back to both of you Carol and Patrish so you can know the outcome.

I will make a note on both names given and date's of births.
Thank you both for helping me the most you can at the moment. I really do appericate it! I promise to get back in touch through this fourm to let you both know the outcome.

Kindest Regards
Andrew Purcell
