For those of you familiar with Bertram Merrell's Index of English Marriages, a site containing a searchable database of his research has been created at
http://englishmarriages.byu.edu The site was just launched this very afternoon so it still lacks some descriptive content (which should be added during the next week or two), but a functioning database containing over 12,000 names has been posted. The database is scheduled to more than double over the next year. Pay a visit and let me know if you run into any errors or have any suggestions for the site.
