WOODWOOD FAMILY, BURTON OVERY
« on: Thursday 19 April 12 03:05 BST (UK) »
Dear Rootschat,
This is connected to my previous Sultzer enquiries ie. John Sultzer, surveyor of Burton Overy, married Christian Woodward there in 1771.
I am interested to know some way of finding the connection between the Woodwards of B. O. and those in Huntingdon, Hunts. around the 1500 - 1600's. There were a number of Woodwards also living in Huntingdon in the 1600's (Ancestry and IGI.) John and Christian Sultzer had twins (Peggy and Patty 1779)and I have found various Woodwards in both B. O. and Hunts. who also had twins as follows:
Fen Stanton, Hunts: Wm Woodward - sons Elias and Philip 1626.
Burton Overy: Bartholomew Woodward - children Margareta and Jana(sic) 1585; William Woodward (1709) had daughters Mary and Ann 1754 - and his son William (1746) had children Elizabeth and William  1778.
Any clues would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Francesr
