There will not be any records based on shipping. You might find them in the local voters register and work out roughly when they arrived from that.

Sometimes it's possible to deduce approximately when a family moved to a new location by checking places of birth on census returns. E.g. say the father, mother and two eldest children give their place of birth as Ireland, and the 3rd child has a place of birth of Lancaster/Morcombe - then you can say they arrived sometime between the births of their 2nd and 3rd child.

i know on the 1939 census there still in ireland and i believe they may of came over for a wedding in 1945 and settled in lancaster.

they didnt have any more children when they moved over here.

Unfortunately the dates in this case are too recent for census returns - the 1939 Dublin record is from an Electoral register.

As Elwyn mentioned you may be able to locate the adults on the local Electoral Register. As far as I know you usually need a specific address to be able to search these records ..

11 george street is the last adress i have for them on the 1939 census.
