Death Certificates, Kings Lynn, Norfolk

For the first time believe it or not, I need to apply for a death certificate.   It dates from 1914 - the death took place in St. Margarets (keppel Street area) area of Kings Lynn which I think was South Lynn then.

Does one go to (if reasonably near) the local Registrars office and ask for one or does it have to be done through the GRO these days.

Do Parish Registers have the cause of death?

How much do they cost these days?

GRO charge £9.25, local Registrars charge £10.


I've never found a cause of death in a burial register.
