Hi,
I am looking for any info on Sarah Briarwood (or Brierwood sometimes) b. 1837 in chatwell Shropshire. Her parents wer Thoams Brierwood b. 1804 and Mary b. 1805. She married William Felton b. 1833 Sherrifhales, Staffordshire. her children are
John 1862
William Harry 1867
Charles Thomas 1870
Ernest Edwin 1875
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thomas Briarwood to Mary Withers 29th december 1829 at Edgmond,Shropshire...
I`ll see if I can find how far Chatwell to Edgmond is ?

In the 1871 census there is in Burlington,Shifnal,Shropshire
Thomas Briarwood
Mary Briarwood born St Georges ,Shropshire
and a son William Briarwood b 1833 in Edgmond ,Shropshire...
so if we do have the right Thomas and Mary for Sarahs parents...it looks like she had a brother William b 1833

Withers, that is something to go on. That does seem to match quite well with what I have. I have seen the 1851, 1861 and 1871 census but the ages of Thomas, Mary and William do vary, by 2 to 3 years each census. In 1861 William and Sarah are married and live a few houses down from Thomas and Mary Brierwood. I note that in the 1871 Thomas and Mary are living near Charles Felton, who I am thinking could be a brother of Williams as the age fits (but I am still looking for his parents too).
More digging to do...
