DAVIS Family Coat of Arms?
« on: Sunday 29 April 12 19:40 BST (UK) »
Did the Davis family have a family coat of arms or was that for royalty only?
There are a few sites that give different versions of the Davis family coat of arms, depending on where in the UK they came from.

There is no such thing as a family coat of arms.  Coats of Arms belong to individuals and are inherited by the eldest son etc.   There are numerous commercial sites that sell objects decorated with coats of arms but they will have simply "stolen" the actual arms from an individual.  Different sites will as a result chose different coats of arms.
