Hello

What can I say but, thank you.  Thanks for the time and effort that has gone into piecing this together.  When I first saw the marriage and childbirth date I was scared it was the wrong person and I'd initiated a wild goose chase, but by the time I plugged it all in, it fitted.  Sarah and her husband were nearly the same age and just got married late.  Hence, the only son.

Sadly, it means that I've even fewer McCollum descendants to trace, but if nothing else it shows that family lore does yield results, no matter how insignificant it seems.  Aren't I glad that I wrote a note on Sarah's entry that my sister thought her son had died in a traffic accident?  My sister passed away last year, so it just goes to show how important it is to gather information while you can.

I've also learned a lesson in Australian records as I've tried to retrace the steps you folks took to help me out, so thank you for that, the citations really helped me to learn too.

So once again, rosball and mum mum, thank you.
