James Fitzpatrick?
« on: Sunday 06 May 12 18:27 BST (UK) »
James Fitzpatrick was convicted of his wifes murder in 1881 in Prescot and was sentenced to 15 years which he served in Gillingham Kent.

By the 1911 census there is James Fitzpatrick as an inmate aged 59 in Toxteth Park, he's the right age to be the same man and as there is no death I can find for him I'm assuming that must be him.

The problem is I'm not sure if it was a workhouse or a prison he was in at that point, does anyone know if there was a prison in Toxteth Park at that time?

Sammy.

Hi Sammy,

It looks as if it's a workhouse -
