Birth & Death of Whittaker child

Hi All,
 I am seeking a child born and died  to James and Annie Whittaker between late 1909 and and before the 1911 Census.
Annie's maiden name was Boyle
Christina b Jan 31 1909 Chester le Street. Durham and alive in 1911 the other child down as died.
Any help appreciated.

Annie & James married in Chester le St sep qtr 1908.
Christina looks like their first born child.
So the little one who died was born around 1910??
Can't find anything. Perhaps the baby was stillborn?

 Would a still born child have been registered?

I honestly don't know, I think it was much later but don't quote me.
You may find a burial record?

Hi,

The 1911 census asks for details of married women - the number of children born alive to the current marriage.

Mistakes do happen, so perhaps they included a stillborn child, or perhaps an earlier birth to the mother?

Maybe the baby who died was a twin to Christina?

Or born before the parents married?

Have you checked for a birth/death under the mother's maiden name? (I know that in the 1911 census they were supposed to give number of children born to the present marriage, but as the householder filled the form out themselves I suppose the information given may not be 100% accurate).

Does the 1911 census say the couple had two children born alive, one dead and one still living? If so, and there were two born alive, then the one that died would not have been a stillbirth.

Hi assuming the couple were possibly in the Gateshead area after their marriage, then this is a possible for you to look into:-

Birth Mary W Whittaker Dec 1910 Gateshead 10a 917
Death Mary W Whittaker Dec 1910 Gateshead 10a 487 aged 0
