Marriage look up for Gullock Please

Hi,

Can any one help me?

I'm looking for the marriage of a GULLOCK (Possibly William) to an ANN JANE ?. This marriage would have taken place around 1780 - 1795 possibly in the South Essex area.

I have found 2 baptisms on the IGI for their children John Burton Gullock 1791 & Rebecca My Burton Gullock 1797 both in Hornchurch.

There is also a Matilda Burton Gullick baptised in Hornchurch in 1793.

I believe this family may have originated in the Rochford/ Prittlewell area.

Any help would be appreciated.

In the 1797 baptism of Rebecca the parents were George Burton and Ann Jane
1791 John Burton and 1792 Matilda the parents were William and Ann

Linda (think we have had contact on the Gullock family a couple of decades ago).
Someone else has given you the marriage for Ann Jane to Robert Gullock.
There is rather a muddle concerning the children bapt. to Robert & Ann Jane at Hornchurch as they had two children bapt. the same day in 1797 being George Burton Gullock and Rebecca Mary Burton Gullock, rather faint in the original parish register that it has been mistranscribed on the IGI and other websites.
As George Gullock in Dartford, Kent was born about 1796 this Hornchurch, Essex entry suggests this is his baptism  (although the 1851 census says he was born Ilford, Essex) making the Kent family related to the Essex one.
Ann Jane appears to have died 1845 at Dartford R.D. so I would be interested if anyone has seen her death certificate where George could be the informant and be proof I have the correct relationship.

Hi Merryl,

Yes we have spoken before.

I haven't done much in the way of family history for a couple of years now. You get to the point where there are not a lot of records left to search, but this may just draw me back in again. 

I'm a bit busy at the moment so will try to look at in the next couple of weeks.

It was Jane, (little fish) that gave me some info. She seems to have a lot more that I have. I think she said that Robert Gullock went to Gravesend.

Something I'll have to look into.

There are records for duty paid for apprentice and indenture 30/4/1778

Apprentice Robert Gullock  -  master  John Gullock  Rochford

this would tie in with a Canewdon marriage for area.
