Marriage of George Beadle and Mary Ann Quaw (possibly Quan)
« on: Wednesday 30 May 12 16:25 BST (UK) »
The subject took place in Quebec City, Canada in 1867.  Does anybody have any knowledge of where records of this marriage are now that the Prince Consorts Own Rifle Brigade records are no longer in Canada please?

Familysearch.org has the following listed:

Mary Anne Beadle QUAW
Spouse: George Beadle
Child:
Charles Frederick William Beadle
Born: 11.11.1876
Dublin, Ireland.
Father: George Beadle
Mother: Mary Ann Beadle Quaw

Maybe Mary and George were married in Dublin and not Canada ...

That familysearch entry is an extract of a civil birth record - the child had not yet been named. A baptism is recorded on 14 January 1877 with a matching date of birth, and parents and it took place in the Church of Ireland at Arbour Hill Barracks in Dublin City. The transcription lists father as a 'Sergt. 1st Battn. Rifle Brigade' - although I think it may be '7th'

see : baptism of Charles Frederick William Beadle

I dont see a match for a marriage for the couple in Dublin...

I think that the Henry Swendell who was a witness is my great great grandfather and father of Thomas Swendell who appears in the photo attached to this thread - https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=832760.msg6973638#msg6973638
