George Harry Beaumont-Thomas

Hi all

I have a death notice for George Harry BEAUMONT-THOMAS 1885-26/12/1971. It gives the name of his second wife Maud Mabel (Taylor) 1888-1968, it also states they had a daughter, Olive, who married Owen Alan KEIT 1925-2006.

I also have Maud Mabel BEAUMONT-THOMAS’ Death cert. and Will. She left her entire estate to Olive.

George Harry’ first wife’s name isn’t mentioned on his death notice, however, their three children’s are, although there are no dates of birth or marriage details.
 
Alwyn B-T    (Major)

Hazel B-T     (Widow)           married name Van SCHALKWYK

Julie B-T      (Divorcee)        married name MARAIS

Questions I am trying to answer:-

1.   The name of George Harry B-T’ first wife.   
2.   The names of Hazel and Julie’s husbands & whether there were any children.
3.   Whether Alwyn B-T married.
4.   Dates of birth of the children.
5.   Any other information relating to the BEAUMONT-THOMAS family.

I would also enjoy contacting a living descendant of the family. 

Unfortunately, all my research has to be conducted online as I don’t live in South Africa so any help or advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again - if you check NAAIRS you will see that there is a divorce( illiquid case) for him - she was Winifred Annie Thomas( b Hill) This is in the Transvaal archives. Date 1922.
